Jello Sensory Activity Perfectly Simple for Babies

Jello is a fantastic sensory experience for babies and young toddlers. Especially kids that still put everything in their mouth (know one?). Make up a batch or two and create this activity to explore smells, tastes and the ooey gooey-ness of it all! Samara has been an avid follower of the blog for awhile. She’s super excited to share this jello sensory activity she did with her daughter. They I live in Spain and also has a blog over at Tiny Fry.

I was looking for a fun, sensory activity to do with my daughter when I noticed we had some jello in our pantry.

She had never seen, tasted or played with jello, so that gave me an idea.

I gathered a bunch of small toys that wouldn’t be a choking hazard. Such as table tennis ballsfigurines, and foam stamps (affiliate links for your convenience).

Then I found some Tupperware containers that were large enough to hold the toys.

I prepared the Jello (affiliate link) and poured it into each container. Making sure the Jello covered the toys. And let it set overnight in the refrigerator.

The next day, I set my daughter up outside on an old tablecloth and gave her the Tupperware containers, one by one.

(This is a messy activity, find more ways to prepare for messy activities here.)

She loved poking the Jello! And tasting it, smelling it, and most of all, squishing it!

She was excited to dig out all of the toys.
