Welcome to the 2018-19 school year, and another exciting year of learning at Singapore American School!
The SAS students that will soon start school all have unique strengths and interests, learning in ways that are unique to them. Our faculty and staff are committed to making sure that your child is engaged and interested in their learning, and that they have many opportunities to experience challenge and success.
Our teachers and staff are unique as well, with many paths that have brought us to Singapore American School—yet one mission unites us all. We are committed to providing each student an exemplary American educational experience with an international perspective. I am grateful that you have chosen to partner with us to educate your children. We look forward to welcoming you to campus soon!
Our annual Open House will be held this Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. This event is a wonderful opportunity for students and parents to connect with old and new friends, meet classroom teachers, purchase uniforms, and prepare for a successful start to the year.
The Quick Start Guide in this issue of eNews is designed to help you make the most out of Open House. I encourage you to make a day of it and visit the community organizations, connect with the PTA and Booster Club, and of course, enjoy the PTA ice cream social!
If you need help finding your way around or have any questions about the first weeks of school, look for SAS team members with red ask me! badges or shirts. We are all happy to help in any way we can and want to make sure that you have the information you need to get ready for the first day of school.
