Find a recent photo of your child, or if you have snow, take a picture of your child in the snow. It adds to the effect of the snow globe!

I printed the picture off as 4X6 size and cut out around my child.

This is also a great opportunity for cutting practice!

Once finished, take your popsicle stick and glue on to the back of your child’s cutout. I needed to break mine in half to adjust for the size of the jar.

Next, take a small piece of play doh or plasticine and roll it into a ball.

Take your popsicle stick and stick it into the ball to secure it for standing.

Use your hot glue gun to glue the ball to the lid insert, ensuring that you leave room for your tree.

Once you have your picture in position, glue your tree to the lid insert.

While this drys, you can begin to add snow to your jar. Your little one will love pouring snow into the glass jar!

I used a liquid measuring cup for ease for my four year old. Fill the jar about ¼ full.

Once you have your snow and your lid is dry, secure your lid to the jar.

If you find that your jar has too little snow or too much, unscrew the lid and add or take as needed.

Turn the jar upside down and you will have your snow globe and a beautiful memory captured!
