Airplane crafts are super fun for kids to make, but they have the added bonus of playing with them afterwards too!

We recently went on an airplane craft spree by making these simple cardboard airplanes. They’ve been fun to watch the kids zoom around the house afterwards.

Since it’s more than just about making the airplane crafts, I’ve included some fun activities to do with your newly crafted airplanes too!

Plus, since paper airplanes are the most basic airplane craft to make, and there’s about a gazillion ways to make “the best” airplane, I’m sharing some of my favorite tutorials I found. They will surely keep the kids busy making planes!

Airplane crafts AND activities to do with the kids!

Airplane Crafts for Kids to Make & Fun Activities to Do With Them

By the way, when I was looking for these airplane crafts and activities, I came up with a lot of things for kids to do on airplanes in my searches.

If you were expecting things for kids to on airplanes, I have share several things for toddlers to do on airplanes here, plus there’s these busy bags for kids on road trips which would work brilliantly on a plane too. And I have some tips for traveling with kids here.

Here’s those airplane activities I was telling you about.

After you make a couple of the airplane crafts above, have a blast playing with them!

These are some great ideas to have fun with your airplanes.

You’ll find there’s tons of different ways to make “the perfect paper airplane”.

I can’t claim any of these are the perfect one (they all do though).

But I think they’d all be fun to try to make and fly!

Use these in combination with the paper plane competition above and you’ll be able to make your own claims!

Below are some of my favorite resources for paper airplane making.

I’ve given these are gifts in the past, they’re a fun alternative to toys, but not just a book either.

Remember to play with these airplane crafts when you’re done, that’s where all the fun is!

When a craft is more about the playing afterwards, that is the one time I don’t mind a craft that is more about product over the process. Otherwise, I’m all about the process!

Do you have an airplane lover in your family?
